Second StepWith age-appropriate lessons, Second Step features fun games and other engaging activities that develop social-emotional skills. Children learn how to make friends, celebrate differences, understand and demonstrate empathy, manage their emotions, solve problems, and deal with peer pressure. This is used K-4 and is part of our Bullying Prevent Program.

Building Coping Skills to Foster Perseverance Understanding how the brain responds to stress and how to be the boss of your brain is critical to pushing through those challenging moments when your brain wants you to fight, flee, or freeze in the face of a challenge. Children get an age-appropriate explanation of the brain's parts and functions and learn skills to master the anxiety response. This unit is typically for Third and Fourth Grade.

Growth Mindset Just like how lifting weights helps your muscles get stronger, trying new things without giving up strengthens your brain. This helps children learn that making mistakes is one of the best ways to help your brain learn. This concept is typically discussed with grades 2-4.
